The idea of a separate hub is really good though - better IR coverage plus it supports IP and Bluetooth control too plus interfaces with my Hue hub to control my lights.Harmony Hub turns your smartphone or tablet into a universal remote, giving you control over your home entertainment and smart home devices. I wish that Logitech would have put ethernet support in the hub to get around issues like this, plus it would simplify the initial faffing around to get the hub registered on your WiFi network. They work great on the WiFi at my parents place though which is a completely different unit supplied by their ISP. I have a similar problem with my Kindle and Squeezebox Radio not liking the WiFi router supplied by the cable company and frequently dropping out and refusing to connect without a router reboot. It was a bit flaky in the early days but Logitech updates to the Hub, plus improvements to their apps made it a lot more functional and reliable.īut if your wifi doesn't get on with your Hub then it's going to make your Harmony unusable. I've had a very different experience with the Harmony Hub, really positive.
